Customer Review

on February 6, 2012
This is a complete load of cobblers. McCartney has lost all credibility with this release. He even has the gall to tag on a couple of his own tunes to try and make out that he's still a songwriter to reckon with! These days he just hasn't got the voice to carry these kind of songs.
When Ringo tried this trick in the early 70's it was vilified but at least he was only the drummer! Some of the music on this album is excrutiating. Diana Krall seems to be the one to go to these days if you want a bit of gravitas added to your attempt at a "jazzy" album. Streisand tried the same trick a couple of years ago.
The yardstick for this kind of release has to be "Schmillsson In The Night" by Harry Nilsson and that album makes McCartney sound amateurish.
Thank goodness he didnt try something like this when he married Heather Mills!! Somebody should have sat him right down and persuaded him not to attempt this drivel.
