Customer Review

VINE VOICEon 10 April 2011
Format: Paperback|Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
I may have missed the joke but this is a collection of articles that tries to show the link between philosophical ideas and the practise of drinking coffee. There is indeed some interesting analysis of the different types of coffee bean and their value, the skill of Starbucks in getting people to accept high(ish) prices for a 'brew' and some ideas on the ambieance/aims of the modern day coffee shop
But I have to say it was a little too inward looking and at the end I realised that I simply enjoy going for a cup of coffee because it gives me time to think, enjoy the taste (Ethiopean Sidamo for preference)and bascialy just relax for just a few minutes in a busy day - job done in a few lines and without needing to involve Satre at any point!
So, interesting idea but not enough there to sustain a whole book
