The best solo work he's done.,
This review is from: Tim Finn (Audio CD)
The problem with Tim's solo output is that it's invariably a curates egg; what's good is v.good (and occasionally great) but all his albums, to varying degrees, seem to contain filler. Not this one though. Subtly produced by Mitch Froom, who, in the past has worked with Crowded House and Richard Thompson, these songs are amongst the most melodic and least self conscious that he's written. A good number of them would stand comparison with his brother Neil's output, and that is high praise indeed! All in all then, a great, undiscovered pop/rock album. Buy with confidence.
