Have had previous Panasonic Home Theatre and was very pleased with it. However, upgraded to this model and was very disappointed when it arrived. To connect an Apple Mac Book (2008 or earlier models) the older Panasonic system had a 3.5mm analogue jack connection which simply connected to the front part of the Panasonic unit. This new version does not have this connection and had only an optical cable connection at the back (not in the front like the previous versions) and to connect using a mac book as above you need to have 2 sets of cables (optical cable to optical, audio 3.5mm to 2 phone rca cables) and an analogue to audio digital converter! Very expensive piece of add on to get sound from my mac to the projector/home theatre system. I can understand the optical audio but they could have left the analogue connection as it was! The speaker connectors were different in the back of this unit as to previous models and I had my speaker wires hidden in the ceiling and had just hoped to be able to plug my existing speaker cable connections into the unit but could not as they had changed them! Therefore, had to cut the ends of and use connectors to hook up to the back of my new unit! This is very disappointing and had I been aware of all of the above I would have opted for a different unit that would have been less hassle. Having said that the ipod/iphone charging/connection facility is great. Although this will be useless with the new iphone 5! Again manufacturers changing their formats so that the customers have to upgrade their existing charging facilities. The sound output from the TV via the Home Theatre system is good but I have yet to try it with the mac and projector, hence the three stars.
