I have been using a very similar kettle to this one - Breville VKJ670 Polished Stainless Steel Jug Kettle and have been very happy with it. They both have the same polished steel appearance and are 1.7 litres, with a fast boil and a good size for a pot of tea.
The difference, is that this kettle lacks the large illuminated window of the Breville. I much prefer this arrangement, as it lets you see exactly how much water is going in and when the kettle is boiling.
This kettle does have pink plastic tags inside the jug to indicate 1,2 or 3 cups, but I didn't like this system and found it hard to judge - I just wanted to be able to see the water inside when the lid was closed. I also prefer the units that light up, as this helps in dim lighting conditions in dark corners for example.
Overall, it works well and looks good, but I think once you have used a kettle with a side window, then you feel it's something missing in the design which you can't do without.
