The 1983 season was an absolute barn-stormer, with the Brabhams, Ferraris and Renaults all in world championship contenders. This was the year that the turbo engine put the final nails into the Cosworth engine, with the final victory coming in the form of the Tyrrell of Michele Alboreto. The coverage is great, unfortunately the commentary is terrible. There's this weird American woman who randomly pops up with jibbering nonsense and the bloke doing the business is also a bit annoying. It's not disasterous, but sandwiched between two great Clive James reviews (82 and 84), it's a bit of a let down.
