We waited 8 years for this but it was worth it. First thing to notice is that it's a grower. Something we fans have noticed is that for once our fave track differs from day to day. It's marvellous to hear Ray Thomas back in action. His "My little lovely" is a tribute to his grandson and recalls his tribute to his then wife "For my lady" in its sea-shantiness. The only complaint is that it isn't long enough! Graeme Edge is back with a poem set to music so it's like old times. And John Lodge is trying out a new voice and it's good to have what could have been tracks for a 1999 "Natural Avenue" as he goes from rocker to balladeer. And what can we say about Jusin Hayward? He's on sparkling form. There's a moving ballad "All that is me" which continues the c&w theme of "Billy" from his solo CD "The view from the hill". Has he written a new "Nights in white satin" in "Haunted"? "Foolish love" is a classic. Happiest track is "Sooner or later" with Ray, John and Justin alternating vocals. That should be a single. Catch them on their April UK tour!
