I've written this review primarily for one reason. When I first received this the sticker on the side said "Cat.6a", I was annoyed as I'd ordered this cable specifically as it's a Cat.7 cable.
After doing a stupid amount of reading through Telegartner PDFs and ISO standards I've come to the conclusion that this is, what is known as, a Cat7 cable. It is the most up-to-date Class Ea Amendment 2 cable, which is sometimes called (supposedly unofficially I think) Cat7. Either way, Telegartner look to be about as professional a network company as I've ever seen and these are their current most up-to-date RJ45/ethernet cables.
As it turns out the max speeds capable with it probably are overkill, but there's a lot of things to do with reducing crosstalk and noise with it which are definitely more necessary. That, and as weird as it sounds, even looking at the cable you can actually see the build quality is really really high. If like me you want a very solid, reliable and probably the best ethernet cable you can buy for your setup that looks like it will last forever I'd recommend this.
