1.0 out of 5 stars Description failure, 9 Aug. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Guys, this is a 5 star product. The only reason I have given it 1 star is to draw your attention to a critical failure in the vendor's description.

On this listing you can buy three sizes; the two smaller sizes will get you dropper bottles; the large size however is supplied as an aerosol. You will observe that the vendor has given us a clue to this by putting up three pictures and one of these three is indeed an aerosol, but what he has not done is told you that this is the *240ml* size.

If you are oiling a chain you really want a dropper bottle. If you have already made the mistake I made and bought the aerosol the neatest way out is to full a cup with the product, wait 10 minutes for the huge amount of froth to subside and then decant the oil into a dropper bottle of the type you get cleaning alcohol in. This is a pain in the lower alimentary canal to do and quite messy, but you will wind up with both a spray *and* a dropper bottle. Both have their uses on a bike; for example, if you fit the straw to the aerosol you can force feed lubricant into brake cables etc.

Good product. good price. Poor description.

I don't see a problem with it being a foam, personally I spray some on the chain and spread it out by running the chain through a rag. It gets the job done

thanks for the usefull heads up I would not want to buy this in an aerosol. one drop at a time onto each chain roller is the way to go. Keeps it away from your brake rotors aswell. Good info.
