More a pamphlet than a book,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: The Smiths (Paperback)
This is a small book made up of 6 or 7 shoots taken by Lawrence Watson of the Smiths and Morrissey.
A few issues result in the low rating. Firstly, the lack of variety in photographs, clearly determined by the limited number of sessions the photographer had with the band, is an obvious negative. Secondly, the paper quality is poor. Thirdly, the retail price for the size and quality of this book is ridiculously high for the content offered.
The actual pictures, even with their repetitiveness, are fine and are of value to Smiths aficionados. Accepting this had the book been half the current asking price I may have upped the rating to three stars.
However, as it stands this is just not worth the money in my opinion.
