In 1956 a young Benny Hill made what was to be his only top billed, starring role in a film, and that's a pity, because he proved in 'Who Done It?' he could carry a film, and could have become one of Britain's top screen stars, if he had concentrated on films, more that TV. 'Who Done It?' is a somewhat typical 'screwball' style comedy, in the British 1950's tradition, it could very well have starred the likes of Sid James, Terry-Thomas,Norman Wisdom, or any number of British comedy actors, but Benny proves he can do just as well, given the opportunity! It's not a great film by any means, but typical of the era, and a rare chance to see a different side of the great Benny Hill in his early days! Recommended.
