This review is from: The Life Laundry: How to De-junk Your Life (Paperback)
I watched the programmes with interest. I often thought tho that they dealt with the obvious junk - stuff lying around everywhere.
I have serious junk but mostly hidden away in cupboards and the book addresses this.
I started soon as i finished the book (which i read in one night!). Ive got rid of all our cassette tapes (1 very full bin liner) - we dont listen to them so i noted any that i want to replace and will replace with CD's if i am bothered enough.
4 bin liners of clothes and shoes.
Foot spa - never used, broken electrical equipment.
And the hardest thing - sentimental birthday cards, wedding cards etc and over 150 photos.
I am finding it quite stressful but refreshing too. The best bit in the book is where it explains how junk can make you ill - i believe this is the case with me - so im letting go.
Go buy it - it can seriously change the way you think. Ive known for 15 yrs i needed to get rid of those cards!!!!!!!!!! Finally ive done it.
