Customer Review

on 1 February 2001
Classic stuff !, They don't make TV like this anymore. In these two opening episodes of this mid seventies series , the remaining characters lives are changed forever. It was joy this re-discover this series after so many years, having only been allowed stay up late to see a few episodes ( in my youth). The scripts are so well written (some by Terry Nation of Dr Who fame), with ordinary / real characters struggling against situations that would arise from any similar disaster. I like the way characters stories run in parallel , crossing over occasionally ; or not in the case the 1st episode ( the two females miss each other by seconds). It make you think ' How would I cope, waking up to find everyone you know dead? '. Buy this , regarding of age if the like quality drama ( it's not spoiled by dated (70's) special effects)... P.S. I was going to call it 'Sci-fi' , but it's too realistic for that!
