Customer Review

on 30 November 2010
I bought this book because it was compared with Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere. They are both about a magical version of London, but I don't think there is much else in common. This book contains over-long descriptions and tedious conversations that don't advance the plot. The characters have a tendency to give speeches and the song of the blue angels started to get on my nerves. I only got to the end through an effort of will and found myself skipping over many sections. I would have enjoyed it more if the book had been half as long.
