This is an interesting book and there are many important ideas there. It is obvious that we are running out of oil and that our continuing reliance in fossil fuels is a suicidal strategy. We have a shrinking window of opportunity to switch to other sources of energy and the sooner we act the better.
Now, immediately after this book I read the book "Fuel Free!: Living Well Without Fossil Fuels" by Thomas R Blakeslee and I gained some hope. Geothermal energy can be - most likely will be - the energy source that will prevent the collapse of our civilisation - but only if we are smart enough and start doing things now. Mr Ruppert is mostly right except in the part that there are no other energy sources that can replace fossil fuels. There are these sources of energy, the most important one being thermal energy.
One problem with this book is that it repeats things many times. One advantage of ebooks in Kindle is that you can say what you have to say, and you do not need to worry to fill hundreds of pages. Mr Ruppert should try to be less repetitive in the future.
