I remembered this comedy series from when it first aired in the 80s; Tim's mother was an overbearing, insufferable, domineering, recipe-challenged character, who refused to accept her only son was now a grown-up (played hilariously by Barbara Lott) & his hen-pecked dad interjected an occasional reprimand when he got a word in (and when he wasn't himself hiding from 'Er Indoors, in the shed.)The brief telling off was usually simply 'Language Timothy', despite there being absolutely none of today's accepted swearing! (This phrase held almost cult status in ensuing years.) Although Timothy professed a desire to be his own man, he was still very much attached to his mother's apron! Besides the humour feeling a bit slow and dated, and the clothes & hairstyles seemingly coming from another century, Ronnie Corbett hasn't changed that much (not in stature anyway!!)and it's quite an enjoyable little foray back to inoffensive, mildly amusing 'family viewing'.
