Customer Review

on 11 February 2011
If you've ever experienced one of Stanford Professor Robert Sapolsky's splendid neuroscience lectures you'll already know what a great communicator he is for both scientists and non-scientists. In this book he shares with us many of his earlier thrills and blunders - and naivety - in East Africa when he began his annual associations with his baboon friends. How he survived his hair-raising encounters with extraordinary collections of homo sapiens along the way astonishes me; he has (mostly) been very much safer engrossed in living and working alone amongst the baboon families in the savanna.
Like very many others I wait impatiently for his next work.
