I love this film, it is fantastically acted with more than a little tongue-in-cheek. Kate Beckinsale's character is left alone after the death of her parent, she stay's with a friend whilst deciding which family members she is going to visit. This leads her to Cold Comfort Farm, where she is welcomed, albeit reluctantly. After taking the measure of all her cousins she then proceeds to sort out the lives of each one of them. It is lovely to see Kate Beckinsale before Hollywood got hold of her. It has all the old-world charm of a by gone era, as well as laugh out loud moments and not to mention the delectable Rufus Sewell. If you like to curl up on the sofa on a rainy day and watch a bit of fun, this is well worth a look.
