Great move game, just could be better,
This review is from: PlayStation Move Heroes - Move Required (PS3) (Video Game)
This is a selextion of move based games centred around 3 playstation franchises brought together. All 3 franchises have 2 main characters in this game with a combined story of being ripped from their seperate universes to compete in heroic games. Except the game organisers are up to something dodgy. The plot is rubbish, and in all honesty the game could get along with random characters. Not much use is made of Jak, Daxter, Racthet, Clank, Sly and Bentley. They have a unique special ability whenb you collect enough crystals, but thats the only distinction. Other than appearance they all behave the same.
The mini games are quite short and do make good use of the move controllers (you need navigation controller too). The bowling game has you destroying targets, but you can tilt the ball and make it jump even after launching. This works well apart from one or two instances using bumpers. The gun game is great. move with the navi, aim with the move controller. Doesnt require spot on accuracy so works very well. The games involving the whip are ok but the whip can be a chore. The disc game has you throwing a disc and then controlling it mid air to take down targets. This works best when you know where the targets are, half the time you are left spinning around due to the tight nature of the small arenas. You may also run out of discs and have to go around looking for some more (would be better to just have a set number). Protection involves guarding 3 seperate pods, standing next to a damaged pod will help repair it and put it back in the air. The rescue games have you finding whibbles in the level and returning them to their mama. This is set as either gun or whip. The arenas are meant to resemble those from each respective franchise, but dont really give you that feeling as they are smashed up cut outs placed on asteroids.
The games are pretty alright, but all can be completed within a couple of days. There are collectables, but these seem a bit stupid as exploration is limited. You can aim for gold in all games, but some are very hard to do because of bad design (particularly the disc games as you cant find the damn targets). I got this game for £8 which is brilliant. Dont pay too much. I cant comment on multiplayer as i am not shelling out money on more controllers.
