The reviews here on Amazon convinced me to buy this and I haven't been disappointed. The element of luck is quite low (essentially in the cards you are dealt at the start) so the children need to think about what they are trying to do. It is surprisingly enjoyable, and with a playing time of perhaps a little over 1/2 hour very manageable as a way of prying them off the Wii or whatever, as well as filling in a break in the day. Both my son (7) and daughter (10) love it, though there is some tussling for the yellow character!
The game play is simple but winning can be complicated, seems to me a great policy for a game, other reviews describe the actual game (working your way through a shifting maze to collect treasures) so if you want to know exactly what you do have a look further down
