I bought this for a friend who is a "Brucie" fan. We laughed at the formality of the early days of S.N.a.t. L.P. and wondered why this black and white show (as it was first of all) was the highlight of our viewing week. After Hughie Green and Tommy Trinder as hosts, Brucie was like a breath of fresh air by introducing a more "laid back" approach to "Beat the Clock". I don't think it would get many viewers these days. However, we did have hours of entertainment and it brought back many memories of how TV used to be. It was so good to see the stars of yesteryear and how the show gradually improved. Did we really enjoy watching two pig puppets (Pinky and Perky)? The audience seemed to. But then, at that time we enjoyed listening to a ventriloquist on the radio! Humour on TV has undoubtedly changed and sets are much more extravagant now. Enjoy this DVD for what it is. We Did!
