This album indicates to me that they've successfully made the transition from teenage sensations to more mature starlets in their own right. Though I think there's still a lot more to come as far as I can see. Although the tracks on the album don't seem to exactly compliment each other, there's still a lot more depth than in the previous one.
With the more usual fiesty tracks like Bootylicious, Nasty and Independent Woman Part 1. The album itself seems to go a little helter-skelter towards the end with the ad-lib of the Thank You track where all three tend to get a little mushy. Still with Beyonce now at the forefront of the songwriting and production after the departure of several other members, they seem much better as a trio rather than a quartet.
Altogether a very enjoyable album, but with the impending releases of their solo projects it will be interesting to see if the other two DC members make a contribution to the next one.
