Hi, I purchased this book before it had gone into print after reading a review in Motor Cycle News after a near very near miss caused me to reevaluated my riding. As a stop gap till this book arrived, I also purchased the police motorcycle handbook (PHH). I read the police motorcycle hand book first and then How to pass your bike test and become a good rider (HPYBT) which turned up a month or later.
Being an experienced motor cyclist I found the book a little disappointing, although the illustrations are better than PMH and the information not as detailed, the book HPYBT is a must for any first time rider or someone who hasn't ridden for a long time covering all aspects of the test in detail, choosing gear, a bike & advanced riding techniques.
If you have been riding for sometime and want to save the rain forests go straight for the Police Motor Cycle Hand Book and then follow this up with a excellent DVD on advanced police motor cycle riding techniques by Mike Waite
