This is what handhelds should have been all along.,

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This model from Dyson, and subsequent models like the DC34, are what Dyson really ought to have developed for their handheld line in the first place. While I was initially quite happy with my previous Dyson handheld, it was never really strong enough. They've finally addressed that, and the new units are far better. The stairs were done much faster, with far fewer strokes needed. This will especially benefit elderly users, or those with less upper body strength. Let's face it, these units aren't all that light and having to support all that yourself isn't easy for some people. Do bear that in mind if you've never owned a handheld.
Now, despite the much-improved suction, there is still a major problem with these units: the charge. It runs down far too fast... we're talking under ten minutes of continuous use. Because of this, I can only recommend this unit for light day-to-day cleaning chores, not those that require attention. These units are often recommended for cleaning the car, and they are okay for that, but if you're trying to get pet hairs out of the upholstery, forget it. Use the vacuum at the garage, it is stronger and won't run out of charge.
