This album is undoubtedly fantastic and uniquely Kane! Despite being an enormous fan, I had my reservations about Christian Kane's debut album before purchasing it because so many great independent artists' talent is lost when they get a major record deal, but I need not have worried. This album is both a development on and a continuation of Kane's unique country-rock-soul sound, with classics such as 'The House Rules', 'Lets Take A Drive' and 'Whiskey in Mind' being wonderfully re-done. Newer tracks such as 'Calling All Country Women' are also very enjoyable and get you tapping your toes in no time. The one song on the album, which is not written by Kane (or any bandmates) is of course their cover of 'Fast Car'. Surprisingly, their version of the song is fantastic and a real treat despite being an obviously (well to someone whose followed these guys as long as I have!) non-kane like song. Brilliant album, worth every penny I spent on it! Worth shopping around though for the best buy. Don't forget to check on the amount it's gonna cost to ship it. Also worth pointing out that it's one of those rare albums that simply do not get old - you can listen to it again and again and again!
