I've always found starting a job to be a really difficult time - how do you negotiate the offer, make sure you fit in with the team and find your place in a new organisation? There's so much to learn and the pressure can be a bit much at times. I only wish I had read this book before to save me some stress! It's full of valuable advice on everything from networking to fitting in with your colleagues. Not only does it refer to 'settling in', it also focuses on how you can create a fantastic impression and actually thrive in a new job. It covered every aspect of how you can be successful in a new role and the advice was far better than any other books I have read on this topic. In fact, no other book seems to cover this really important aspect of your career (the start of a new role) in this much depth.
