Customer Review

on 22 September 2000
I must admit to having been wary about buying this, having been a huge Stuffies fan and not wanting to face disappointment. I left off until I heard Milo live at the Camden Underworld...and then went straight for my credit card. An absolute cracker of an album with no weak links at all. Hunt's songwriting abilities go from strength-to-strength. Outstanding tracks include 'Everything is Not Okay', 'Immortalising Chase', 'The Slow Drowning' and 'Someone Like the Kingbird'. While the old anger and venom is still there the album is less hectic than the Wonder Stuff's efforts, but just as rewarding. Malc Treece and 'Fiddly' Bell feature strongly but Miles has definitely stamped his own image on this album. "I know I'm not gonna get off this stage without playing some Wonder Stuff songs" was the opening quip of his encore at the Underworld. Personally, I reckon he'd have made it.
