No literary classic, but plenty of chuckles along the way,

James will not pretend to have penned a literary classic. These really are no more than tour diaries, with a thoughtful intro and lots of fun and games along the way.
As an often humorous account of life on the road, it works a treat. The repetitive nature of touring comes through loud and clear, but there are enough quirky stories, and it's all told in such a warm and endearing way, that this is still a satisfying read.
