This review is from: Exile On Main Street (Audio CD)
Bought this album on the strength of various recommendations as "best rock album of all time" etc. Was sadly disappointed. It's a very long album of turgid pub rock with self-congratulatory lyrics about how great it is being a millionaire rock star. The two stars are for the choppy guitar sound, though you often can't hear that because of the trumpets and saxophones. I just prefer music with a bit more imagination.
Anybody want to buy a second-hand copy?

What a crock. Do you even know what "pub rock" is? Because it sure isn't this album. It's telling that you haven't given any examples of how the lyrics are "about how great it is being a millionaire rock star." If you can't find any imagination in his album, then, well, you're an idiot, frankly.

This is one of the many reasons I dont' go into pubs - bloody Oasis!!!!
Incidentally, Exile is a classic - if I can rinse my ears out, reassess it and hear it for the classic I've always ignored, than anyone can! Blimey, it's incredible.......
