A great absorbing read; ADB has really brought a different dimension to the 40k world. In telling the story of a huge Ork invasion he has captured the inhuman psychology of the Marines perfectly, through the viewpoint of a Black Templars Chaplain struggling with his own internal conflict. The characters are well-drawn, and the use of third/first person viewpoints works really well. The action is well-described and gritty, a cut above the usual mindless action pulp churned out by Black Library.
