Customer Review

on 22 April 2013
I have been a fan of the resident evil series since it began and have generally enjoyed playing all of them. Where to start with RE6? Well, for me and my co op friend it was just terrible.

The game feels clunky and unresponsive in a lot of places, the different story modes are an ok idea but the problem is they all play differently, so by the time you've got used to one character you are at the end and need to start a new game with another character/style of play.

The cut scenes are good graphically but because the 4 stories are intertwined you see the same cut scenes over and over from different perspectives (fortunately you are able to skip them)

There are parts of co op, especially the Chris and Piers story where there is a lot of running and 'button mashing to do, which ordinarily would be fine and is par for the course with the RE franchise, but the terrible camera angles make this impossible to do in a co op situation - in fact we had to quit and do it in single player mode, then rejoin each other!

The skill point system is not a good thing, it takes too long to get enough points for anything useful and frankly I don't think the game is good enough to want to do it all over again to get all of the skills.

Multiplayer (4 player co op) - again this is just ok, you are basically just having to survive against the horde for as long as possible. Nothing new here and nothing particularly exciting.

All in all a very poor effort from capcom
