My thoughts exactly :D
Alot of record labels seem to be trying this nowadays - selling a poorly presented CD in a crappy paper sleeve...at full price!
When forking out £ for a PHYSICAL COPY of a CD, you would rightly expect it to be presented as an "Album" with - at very least - full artwork & inlay, etc...otherwise you'd be better off just paying for the bloody download version! XD
If you ever feel like questioning their motives, they seem to market it as "Eco-Friendly" packaging...like it's some sort of "Emotional Get-Out-Clause"...as if to suggest that it's anything other than a blatant attempt at conning the customer out of their money for an increasingly crappier quality/"less substantial" presentation?! (If you were REALLY concerned with "Saving Resources & the Enviornment"...then - again - you would just purchase the DOWNLOAD VERSION! XD)
I have thus returned my copy of this CD and many others like it (Gorillaz - Plastic Beach, Eagles - Complete Greatest Hits - CHEAP £4.99 VERSION, etc)
(The most irritating fact is that nowadays, the "Properly" packaged versions of these albums are now labelled "SYOOPER DOOPER SPESHUL DELUXE EDITION" and sport a rediculously lofty price tag to boot?!?! B**TARDS!!!)
