My thoughts exactly :D

Alot of record labels seem to be trying this nowadays - selling a poorly presented CD in a crappy paper sleeve...at full price!

When forking out £ for a PHYSICAL COPY of a CD, you would rightly expect it to be presented as an "Album" with - at very least - full artwork & inlay, etc...otherwise you'd be better off just paying for the bloody download version! XD

If you ever feel like questioning their motives, they seem to market it as "Eco-Friendly" packaging...like it's some sort of "Emotional Get-Out-Clause"...as if to suggest that it's anything other than a blatant attempt at conning the customer out of their money for an increasingly crappier quality/"less substantial" presentation?! (If you were REALLY concerned with "Saving Resources & the Enviornment"...then - again - you would just purchase the DOWNLOAD VERSION! XD)

I have thus returned my copy of this CD and many others like it (Gorillaz - Plastic Beach, Eagles - Complete Greatest Hits - CHEAP £4.99 VERSION, etc)

(The most irritating fact is that nowadays, the "Properly" packaged versions of these albums are now labelled "SYOOPER DOOPER SPESHUL DELUXE EDITION" and sport a rediculously lofty price tag to boot?!?! B**TARDS!!!)

What do you want exactly? If this was in a jewel case it would have been those horrible flappy 2-disc ones that break all the time. You can't exactly print lyrics in Mogwai album artwork, so would half a dozen abstract photographs have satiated you? Or maybe a massive poster of Stuart Braithwaite's bum?

Next time you listen to your Special Moves MP3s, just imagine me with my massively statisfying vinyl box set - 2 LPs, the CD & DVD, a download card for the extra tracks, a signed poster and a sew-on patch. So nerr!

Both of you; stop whinging about the artwork, there are more important things in life.

Raul Pinto says:
If you don't know that the quality of an audio CD surpasses mp3 by far, you have to learn more about Hi-Fi...
And it's all about the music, not the package. Can you fit the package (any of them) on a cd player?
When you own hundreds of cds, maybe it's better if they're thinner...
And a dvd is to be actually seen. And IT IS impressive!
