Subversive SF for mature viewers,
This review is from: Battlestar Galactica: Season 3 [DVD] (DVD)
Season 3 is where Battlestar Galactica came of age. Alone among contemporary dramas of ANY genre, this season tackles pressing issues of our times. Suicide bombing, torture, psychological abuse, identity and reality are all given a thoughtful, non-patronising treatment and the drama wrapped around them is utterly compelling.
The end of season cliffhanger episode is perhaps the most memorable TV event of this year.

Neil Goodacre says:
The end of season cliff hanger was memorable, but for all the wrong reasons. The reveal on the four cylons was rubbish. They obviously just picked names out of a hat. Still great sci fi and good TV, but seriously, seriously losing its way by the end of the season.

This review obviously refers to Series 3 and not the miniseries and is misplaced here.

For some reason this review and its comments appear both in the correct place and among the miniseries' reviews. It must be Amazon's fault.
