The first thing that immediately struck me about this book was the very high standard of "how to photography". At last we have a guide book that uses fabric and threads that can be seen clearly and each stage is treated with reverence. In fact any photograph in the book clearly demonstrates the item, point it is conveying.
I am a reasonably experienced sewer and yet there is something for everyone, from beginner to the more knowledgable. It is divided into three main chapters; Stitching Essentials, The Stitch Directory and the Directory of Motifs. Simple chapter headings which do no justice to the amount of "need to know" information that has been packed into them. For me it's a great aide memoir.
Very comprehensive book and I feel it will inspire its owner to make that special difference to a good sewing project. The techniques shown should aid everyone to improve projects to a new level.
I highly recommend this book, the market has been waiting for one of this high standard for quite some time
