If you're a fan of low-heat cooking then get one of these.. It takes a bit of getting used to trusting what the temperature gauge tells you but the results are very good. No more overcooked roasts. The advantage of this over other competitors is that you can leave the probe in the meat whilst it's cooking - you get a trailing wire out of the oven door but I don't see that as a problem. The only reason I have only given 4 stars and not 5 is that this is my second one in 10 months. The elctronic unit itself is fine but I managed to pull the silicone boot off both probes which pulled out the wires and heat sensors - and it doesn't seem possible to buy replacements. In fairness that was probably my fault but just a word of warning.
