Customer Review

on 3 January 2007
Like some of your reviewers I bought this following a recommendation from an acquaintance - big mistake. Plot - inadequate, writing style - boring. 'Chick-lit with A-levels' should have warned me - anything calling itself 'chick-lit' is usually aimed at those who would be unable to read 'Hello' if they unfortunately lost their index finger. I speak French reasonably fluently, also a smattering of Italian so could hazard a fair guess at the passages in Occitan. If the book had been aimed at scholars maybe the first half should have been written in Occitan, patently it wasn't ('Chick-lit with A-levels'!) so why be pretentious and include any Occitan?

Maybe I've answered my own question.
