5.0 out of 5 stars A beautiful and profound book, 18 July 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Prayers of the Cosmos :Reflections on the Original Meaning of Jesus's Words (Paperback)
This is one of the most beautiful and profound books that in my 73 years of reading tens of thousands of books that I have come across. It is a work of considerable and impressive scholarship and of great spiritual insight. It suggests a daily pratice and its few pages repay reading and re-reading again and again.

Luke says:
Tens of thousands of books?
Assuming you really mean 73 years of reading and not the 73 years you've been alive, that gives you 26,663 days of reading time. Assuming the very lowest figure that could be called 'tens of thousands', i.e. 10,000, that means you've read a whole book roughly every 2 and a half days consistently for 73 years, and that's forgetting the fact that you said 'tens' of thousands, which brings your reading time for each book down to a day or less. You're either Rain Man himself or a bold liar.
