This review is from: Learn to Play Fingerstyle Solos for Ukulele (Paperback)
This book is excellent but I wish the CD had just the Ukulele recordings. As it is some of the tracks have Guitar backing which means you have to indentify what is being played by what. No big deal but annoying to me .It's not a book for raw beginners as the music fingerings need a bit of working at.So I would wait until you have become fairly proficient at basic stuff like "She'll be coming round the Mountain" "Yankee Doodle Dandy" etc.I have already worked my way through "Hal Leonards Ukulele Method" Books 1 and 2.Otherwise it's probably the best book out there if you want to become good at finger picking laced with chords. I love it.
Also I've spotted a couple of printing errors that are pretty obvious ie.giving fretting/picking advice on the wrong bar, easy to spot though. There's a lot of info in the book in the performance notes which accompany each piece of music.
Despite these small things I would thoroughly recommend it.
