Victorinox are one of those mid-range Swiss manufacturers who get largely ignored by the watch-buying public. The quality, however, is right up there with Tissot, Oris and other well-regarded watchmakers in their range.
This is powered by the almost legendary hand-wind Unitas 6498 movement - the secs@9 (6497) version of which is frequently found in such luminaries as Panerai. At 45mm, this has something of the wrist presence of a Breitling Super Ocean Heritage, being both a similar size and shape. It's very solidly built with one of the nicest bracelets I've ever worn. At its original RRP of £900 it was a decent buy. At the just-over £200 I paid for it, it was an absolute bargain.
