I really enjoyed this, the first in a proposed series of Joe Geraghty books. Nick's prose is well put together, and atmospheric enough to give a real feel for life in modern day Hull. There's also a strong sense of the history of the city, and the fact that this can still be felt today - something I'm also interested in.
The novel did take a while to get going - but do stick with it, as it builds to a rewarding finish. A slow burner, but none the worse for that.
