I was lucky that I only paid 99p for this book - that way I don't feel that I've lost too much money by not finishing it. I think that its biggest problem is its Amazon blurm claiming that it's like Pratchett. It isn't! It's shallow with undeveloped characters who rely on Nordic influenced names and legends for a story. Had the blurb not said that it was like TP then I wouldn't have bought it and, had I done so, I would still only have given it 3 stars. I didn't find the first couple of chapters enjoyable to read and am not sorry to have given it up!

To be fair it was a bit daft of you to expect anyone to be able to write like Pratchett wasn't it? As for "relying on Nordic influenced names and legends for a story" I don't see why this is a problem - seemed to work for Tolkien.
