Best thing since sliced bread!!,
This review is from: Nintendo Wii Fit Plus with Balance Board (Video Game)
That is so true!!! We are in our 70's and, like other people our age group, have various aches and pains. Anyway, since getting the Wii Fit Plus + board we have had so much fun with it. It is played on every day for at least 30 mins, both doing the exercises and the games. My wife has gone down a dress size and we virtually fight to use it. When one of our friends come round we have such a laugh because it comes out again and we all have a go on it. Much better than watching TV. You exercise without realising it and I would thoroughly recomend it to all age groups. Get buying if you haven't already done so.

From all the reviews, and from reviews elsewhere, vendors' sites and so on, I assume if I buy the WiiFit Plus & Board for around £80, I can just plug it into the TV and go. Or do I need to fork out another £150 for a Wii console.....

You'll need the console and the wii fit i'm afraid. Can work out quite expensive, but worth it.

Thanks for this hilarious review. I got this for Christmas and didn't even realize the 'game' was included with the board. Now I can't wait to have a go!

We know so little about these Wii boards? Fits? do we need a box or something too? We are getting on a bit with the usual need for exercise and have thought about getting one. But what does the whole pack to get us started consist of? and what is the price of the full pack? Balance board? game? box? It is all a bit confusing. I can see us paying for something that is just an 'add on' and not the whole kit.

You will need to own a Wii console (RRP £149.99) first, as this is the machine that Wii fit is played on, then you will need the Wii balance board (which is what you use to play the game) and a copy of the game itself. These last two can be bought as a single package called 'Wii Fit Plus with Balance Board' (RRP £89.99 (although at the time of writing it's £59.99)).
That's everything you need, assuming you also have a TV to play it on of course!

You can also buy the Nintendo Wii Console (Black) with Wii Fit Plus: Includes Balance Board and Wii Remote Plus a lot cheaper than buying them all separately.
