paid by the word?,
This review is from: Shaman's Crossing (The Soldier Son Trilogy, Book 1): 1/3 (Paperback)
I've given up a third of the way through.
I get a very strong sense that this writer is being indulged to the extent that they are getting paid by the word. The book is the most long winded, repetitive, boring, collection of words I have come across in a long, long time. The character is the second son. Which makes him a soldier. You will be told that about two hundred times by the time you've read to page two hundred. By which time you will be hoping he gets killed by some random shotgun accident and the further four hundred pages are left blank.
