Customer Review

TOP 500 REVIEWERon 17 November 2007
Began brilliantly, and plodded along at a nice pace, then petered out into dribble.
I wont bother going into the nitty gritty, as that has been fleshed out previously here and elsewhere.
I found the film exceedingly frustrating! Frustrating because of, and here's a spoiler, those pesky Kids!
The fact that everything, death, murder, spread of Rage, etc was caused by two stupid stupid kids, and not one actor in the film turned around gave em a clip round the ear hole and said as much that IT's ALL THEIR FAULT!!!
So yes, you guessed, it's an annoying movie!
Robert Carlyle, I expected much more from this talented actor - he was brilliant in the beginning of the film, but his part became a bit part!
Rose Byrne as always, very pretty, blinkered and holier than thou - with that Noble Heroic spirit Americans are alleged to have ingrained in them yet lack in Iraq and Afghanistan Vietnam and Korea.

All in all a good enough film, excellent soundtrack and effects but not as good as the first. It had so much potential, Starts well, then descends into stupidity!

Oh, and not one British Soldier in sight! You'd at least expect some sort of Official British presence, a few soldiers, an official or two - yet NONE in sight! Seems as if Britain became the 51st State Officially! - in London of all places! And last I recalled Britain IS part of Nato! But I suppose it featured Yanks, as Yank presence in movies means $$$ in the lucrative American market.
