Customer Review

on 20 January 2006
This book continues on from 'Weapons of Choice' and like the first, it's interesting to see the juxtaposition of the 1940s with the early 21st century. While the first book sets the scene, this book contains more action with 1940s and 21st century personnel side by side in the Pacific as the Japanese target Australia and Hawaii, and the English Channel with German forces preparing to invade Britain. Alongside this, we see a 1942 in which Star Wars is one of the most popular movies, J. Edgar Hoover is spying on the goings on of the 21st Century 'zone' in California and a somewhat dodgy 1940s serviceman is making money signing up stars like Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe and Frank Sinatra. Like the first book, this is a cracking read, and I can't wait for the third installment.
