This review is from: Mathematical Techniques: An Introduction for the Engineering, Physical, and Mathematical Sciences (Paperback)
I find this book very clear in its explanations . Takes you through calculus , vectors etc with plenty of examples.
Makes good use of diagrams which is where a lot of maths books fail - no idea why a lot of other books don't use more diagrams when most concepts can be put into geometric form for simple cases which makes it much easier to see whats going on rather then endless pages of equation and algebraic manipulations.
I use this book to understand the maths required for studying physics and so far its been clear.
