...the needless frustration imbued by this game renders it a feeble offering.
The amount of fortune that goes against you when playing is otherworldly - whether it be from loose balls, rebounds, AI reactions, the inability to call a player near for throws to prevent giving it away, your goalie doing the most idiotic and unavoidable things (which are never done for the opposition...), over-skilled and over-paced opposing players for their supposed name-sakes, the inability to use the R1 and R2 button for free-kicks (if not wanting to change taker, or the set-up), the goalkeeping if you're on the receiving end of a penalty, the goalkeepers' amazing reactions to just collect balls from off-the-woodwork/deflected/parried shots,....AND SO MANY MORE!
...and don't get me started on the Ultimate Team option, which is the worst feature I've ever witnessed in a game - what on Earth is that all about?!?! Ugh...
It seems that this game is only popular by there only being two football franchises out there, and this one gets the glory of having the pre-set official team names, players and kits/emblems, etc.
They release a new game every year and feel the need to change for the sake of it. Players of FIFA have their favourite edition, but even if they released the PERFECT FIFA game, they would change it the following year just to get a good chunk of your cash, rather than releasing a DLC of the latest transfers, kits, teams, etc., for a nominal fee. No better than CoD or any other annual releases, really.
Play it to believe it. Or don't.
