My initial reservation about this game was how THPS2 plays in the isometric viewpoint. Back in the spectrum days i could never get the hang of the isometric view point in games like hydrofool, alien 8 and head over heels, so i thought that this would similaly confuse me. I also have played the PS version quite alot, so it was with some trepidation that I parted with my cash. Having done so i'm glad to say that i am pleasently surprised. The control over your skater is initially trick but quite adaptable, and the forward , stop, rotate nature of the control suits the isometric viewpoint well. However sometimes in the heat of a grind to wallride to wallie to grind the direction sometimes is tricky. On the whole the pick up, do a few ojectives, score a few high scores, switch off, works well with the GBA format.
