100 days of solitude is a blog which was made into a book. To me it is mostly about facing one's fears and limitations, overcoming the obstacles by acknowledging that it's all in our head and that we always have options, but mostly it is about reinventing oneself. It is the story of a girl who gave herself the space and the time to do what she really loved: write. And once she had decided what she wanted, the means to do what she wanted appeared, in a wonderful journey where she met lovely and supporting people and made new friends. The place is Sifnos, a magnificent island which brings many memories to the writer, but it can be any island or any seclusive place where you start anew. It might seem like a solitary place, but really it is not. We follow the writer through 100 days and it feels like we are inside her troubled head, along with Antagonist (my favorite villain). We laugh as she finds herself in impossible situations, we feel her depression, solitude, happiness and gratitude. We listen to the music of her favorite songs. We all move to Sifnos and we realize that you CAN follow your dream if you really set your mind to it.
