Have read many comments and articles of people bashing Ayn Rand and her philosophy. I was always taking their points with a pinch of salt, because I never read anything of hers - fortunately, neither did they. I was so wrong, and so were they. Maybe modern literature doesn't owe her a great deal; her writing is beautiful but I would never say it was ground-breaking. Where Rand excels however, is making sure that the caricature of real life she portrays (because she does use unrealistic or over exaggerated examples at times) gets her point across and magnificently so. This huge book with its tightly written copy is daunting, but you have to read it; you will not regret the trip.
